A civil initiative to fight poverty in South Africa by empowering able but financially needy young people with opportunities for further education. |
Studietrust - since 1974 - is an independent national bursary agency, a non-profit civil organisation, based on Christian principles. We have a single focus: the financially needy child and young person who, in the hope of a better future, urgently want to continue studying. |
"I am eternally grateful to you for helping me break this cycle of poverty… The only way to do this would be through education in which you play an instrumental role…" (Sudasha, B Communication Pathology student, UKZN.) Studietrust’s support to young people touches their lives deeply turning desperation into hope. We select students who, under threat of poverty, simply ask for the opportunity to study. "I just want to thank you for believing in my potential and for giving me hope when I could no longer see it…" (Khutso, Chemical Engineering student, TUT.) A VENTURE OF HOPE... South Africa has become a symbol of hope to many in the African continent as well as the rest of the world. Study Trust assists disadvantaged young South Africans to press on in hope. We warmly invite you to acquaint yourself with our work and to consider joining us in this venture of hope. |
